1. Compact Equipment Sales and Rentals Associate:

Coastal Equipment Corp, the authorized John Deere dealer serving eastern Virginia, is seeking a Sales and Rentals Associate. This position is responsible for outside sales and rentals of John Deere compact construction equipment, including excavators, skid steers, wheel-loaders and compact track loaders. Position requires travel within the territory to meet with customers, visit job sites and cultivate relationships. Sales experience and Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred.

Duties:

· Selling, renting and leasing new and used John Deere Compact Construction Equipment

· Ability to quote and arrange financing options for customers in a timely manner

· Assist customers with machine questions and issues in a professional way

· Conduct field demonstrations of various types of equipment

· Maintain continuing education requirements on John Deere Equipment and products

· Visit current and prospective customers, whether at their office or job sites

Qualifications / Requirements:

· Industry experience and past sales experience preferred

· College degree preferred

· Basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Office applications

· Hardworking individual who conducts themselves in a professional manner

· Some mechanical aptitude is a positive

· Good attitude and positive work ethic

· Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

· Must be able to pass drug screening and criminal background checks

· Must meet physical requirements for the job, including the ability to lift and carry items up to 20 pounds. This position requires the ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing beside, onto and under a variety of heavy equipment.

2.  Machine Monitoring and Precision Construction Support Specialist:

Coastal Equipment Corp, the authorized John Deere dealer serving Eastern Virginia, is seeking a Machine Monitoring and Precision Construction Support Specialist. This position is responsible for monitoring and responding to JDLink™ alerts and diagnostics on equipment serviced by Coastal Equipment, as well as producing repair recommendations and initiating customer work orders. Candidates should have a mechanical background or aptitude.

Roles and Responsibilities:

·        Monitor incoming Expert Alerts and determine necessity of customer contact

·        Monitor incoming Diagnostic Trouble Codes and initiate customer contact or work orders

·        Perform remote diagnostics using Service ADVISOR™ Remote and Remote Display Access

·        Provide Precision Construction Support (GPS, Grade Control, JD Link, etc.) for customers

- Training provided by Coastal Equipment as needed

·        Quickly and accurately communicate repair recommendations

·        Create and maintain work orders as directed or needed

·        Maintain up to date technical knowledge of engine, hydraulics, electrical systems, and repair manual schematics

·        Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with colleagues, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service

·        May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge

·        Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion

·        Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products

·        Additional duties as assigned or determined by Supervisor or President

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:

·        3+ years experience performing service repairs and diagnostics, specifically diesel engine, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems preferred

·        Demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics

·        Demonstrated outstanding customer service and communication skills

·        Experience with basic computer functions, especially Microsoft products

-  Experience using Deere systems is a plus

·        Experience writing and speaking effectively to individuals and groups

·        Experience with mechanical, electrical and/or hydraulic systems used in off road, construction, or heavy equipment

·        High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

·        Military experience is a plus (see John Deere Military Hiring Program partnership)
