1. Entry Level Service Technician:

Coastal Equipment, the John Deere Construction Equipment Dealer in Virginia Beach, VA and Yorktown, VA is currently hiring entry level technicians who are currently enrolled at well-respected diesel tech programs as well as recent graduates from these programs. Eligible candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Good work ethic
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Eager to learn
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record
- Must possess a minimum set of hand tools
- Have basic computer skills
- Must be able to pass drug screening and criminal background checks

Must meet physical requirements for the job, including the ability to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 70 pounds, including bulky objects. This position requires repeated reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing beside, onto and under a variety of heavy equipment.

2. Experienced Service Technician:

Coastal Equipment, the John Deere Construction Equipment Dealer in Virginia Beach, VA and Yorktown, VA is currently hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Technicians. This is a full time position. Great working environment with competitive wages based on experience. Benefits/401K, paid holidays and vacation.

Interested candidates should have experience in the following areas:
- Diesel engine diagnostics and repair
- Hydraulic system and power train diagnostics and repair
- Understanding of electrical and electronic systems
- Preventative maintenance

Eligible candidates must also meet the following requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 4-6 years of experience
- 21 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record
- Must possess a minimum set of hand tools
- Have basic computer skills
- Must be able to pass drug screening and criminal background checks

Coastal Equipment, the John Deere Construction Equipment Dealer in Virginia Beach, VA is currently hiring a Mobile Lube Truck Technician who has previous experience, is currently enrolled at a well-respected diesel tech program, or a recent graduate from these programs. This is a full-time position. Great working environment with competitive wages based on experience. Opportunity for training and career growth. Benefits/401K, paid holidays and vacation.
